An established photographic workshop aims to capture a cross section of island life.Local photographer, Yasmin Mariess will be hosting next years MyVision12 Workshop, an annual event for professional documentary photographers from all over the UK.
Unique to this country, MyVision12 is an intensive documentary photography workshop testing the skills of some of the UKs best photographers. Over two days, each photographer will be asked to follow the daily routine of an individual or business to create a strong visual story of that person's daily life. Past workshops have covered stories from all walks of life and have given the photographers incredible insights into how to see the everyday world differently as well as how to provide stunning images for the individuals concerned.
If you are a business or an individual and have an everyday experience you’d like to share, we want to hear from you. We are looking for a wide variety of Guernsey life, from the mundane to the exceptional. A total of 20 people are required for this project and it will take place in February 2012, there is no charge for being a subject and you will be presented with a selection of the images from the two days as a keepsake. There will be a book published to benefit Grow Ltd. Please apply via email to info@yasmin-photographer.com
